Apple Fritters
These apple fritters are golden, fluffy, and loaded with apples, finished with a simple glaze that sets perfectly.

Ingredients
Instructions
In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. Set aside. In a large bowl, whisk together milk and eggs. Whisk in the dry ingredients until smooth. Set the batter aside to rest for 1 hour.
Set a cooling rack over a rimmed baking sheet. In a large Dutch oven or deep fryer, heat oil to 375 degrees. Fold apples into batter.
Working in batches of 2 to 3 pieces at a time, scoop 1/2 cup batter into the oil and fry until golden brown, about 5 minutes total. Turn periodically to ensure even browning. Transfer to prepared rack and repeat with remaining batter. Cool completely before glazing.
In a medium bowl wide enough to accommodate the fritters, whisk together powdered sugar and water to desired consistency. Holding the edges of each fritter, turn the top side down and dip into the glaze.
Turn until the entire top is coated, then set on rack. Repeat with remaining fritters. The glaze will harden in 20 to 30 minutes.
