These fried chicken strips are not only easy to make at home, but they result in an extra crispy bite that truly elevates the nostalgic dinner.

In a shallow bowl, place breadcrumbs; generously season with salt and pepper. In another shallow bowl, beat eggs to blend; whisk in garlic powder. Pour flour onto a third shallow bowl.
Coat chicken strips in flour, then dip into egg, letting excess drip off. Coat in breadcrumbs, dip back into egg, then back into breadcrumbs.
Into a large Dutch oven, pour oil to a depth of 2". Heat over medium-high heat until a deep-fry or instant-read thermometer registers 325°. Set a wire rack in a baking sheet; line with paper towels.
Working in batches, fry chicken, turning once, until golden brown and an instant-read thermometer inserted ino thickest part registers 160°, about 5 minutes.
Transfer chicken to prepared rack and let sit for 5 minutes. Serve with ketchup or ranch alongside.
