A classic and comforting breakfast recipe, Cinnamon French Toast features slices of bread soaked in a creamy, cinnamon-spiced custard, then cooked to golden perfection in butter. Served with maple syrup or fresh fruit, this easy-to-make dish is perfect for weekend mornings or special occasions.

Ingredients
Instructions
In a shallow dish, whisk together whole milk, eggs, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and salt until well combined and smooth.
Place a nonstick skillet over medium to medium-low heat. Add 1 tablespoon of unsalted butter and allow it to melt completely, coating the surface evenly.
Dip 3 slices of bread into the custard mixture one at a time. Coat one side thoroughly, flip to coat the other side, then lift and gently shake off any excess custard.
Arrange the soaked bread slices in the preheated skillet in a single layer. Cook until the underside is golden brown and crisp, then flip to cook the other side. If the bread browns too quickly, reduce the heat slightly to ensure the center cooks through without burning.
Transfer cooked French toast to a plate and lightly cover to keep warm. Repeat the soaking and cooking process with remaining bread slices, adding the remaining tablespoon of butter to the skillet as needed.
Serve the warm cinnamon French toast with maple syrup, a dusting of confectioner’s sugar, or fresh fruit as desired.
