Homemade Empanadas
Golden homemade empanadas with a flaky crust and a savory beef filling. These hand pies are the perfect comfort food, ideal for snacks, meals, or gatherings.

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, mix flour and salt. Cut in cold butter until crumbly. Add egg and cold water, mixing until a dough forms. Chill for 30 minutes.
Heat a skillet over medium heat. Sauté onion and garlic until soft. Add ground beef, paprika, cumin, and salt. Cook until browned. Stir in olives and chopped egg. Let cool.
Roll out dough on a floured surface. Cut into circles. Spoon filling onto each circle, fold over, and crimp the edges with a fork.
Place empanadas on the baking sheet. Brush tops with beaten egg.
Bake for 25–30 minutes, until golden brown. Let cool slightly before serving.
