Cooking Instructions
Melt butter in a skillet. In a large heavy skillet over medium-high heat, add 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter. Let it melt until bubbling.
Season the shrimp. While the butter melts, season 2 pounds of shrimp with 1/2 teaspoon paprika, 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt, and 1/4 teaspoon coarse ground black pepper.
Cook the shrimp. Add the seasoned shrimp to the skillet, cooking for 1-2 minutes on each side until they turn pink.
Sauté garlic and red pepper flakes. In the same skillet, add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter, minced garlic, and 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes. Stir and cook for about 30 seconds.
Deglaze with wine. Pour in 3/4 cup of dry white wine or chicken broth along with 2 tablespoons of lemon juice and 1 teaspoon of lemon zest. Stir and bring to a simmer.
Reduce the sauce. Allow the sauce to cook for about 3-4 minutes, reducing it by half.
Combine the shrimp. Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet, stirring to combine with the sauce for an additional 30 seconds.
Garnish and serve. Top with chopped parsley before serving for an added pop of color and freshness.
