How to Make Sesame Chicken
In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, salt, and pepper. In another bowl, mix flour and cornstarch. Coat each chicken piece by dipping first into the egg mixture, then into the flour mixture until fully covered.
Pour about 3 inches of oil into a deep pan and heat it to 350°F.
Carefully add the coated chicken pieces in batches (about 7-8 pieces at a time) and fry for approximately 5 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy. Drain on paper towels.
In a bowl, combine honey, soy sauce, ketchup, brown sugar, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and cornstarch. Mix until smooth.
Heat a teaspoon of vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat, then sauté minced garlic for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Add the honey sauce mixture and bring it to a simmer for 3-4 minutes until thickened.
Toss the fried chicken into the sauce until well-coated. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and sliced green onions before serving.
