Creamy Chicken Divan with chicken, broccoli, cheddar, and a buttery crumb topping—easy, make-ahead casserole that’s perfect for busy weeknights.

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Grease a 9x13 inch casserole dish or glass baking dish and set aside.
Cut chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces and sprinkle lightly with salt and pepper.
Add olive oil to a Dutch oven or large pot over medium heat. Add the cubed chicken, onions, and celery and toss to coat. Sauté for 5 minutes, until chicken is about halfway done, then add the frozen broccoli.
Cook for 4-6 more minutes, until the chicken is cooked through. Remove from heat.
Add the cream of chicken soup, sour cream, milk, garlic powder, and half of the cheese. Stir to combine.
Transfer to prepared casserole dish and top with remaining shredded cheese.
Cover and bake for 20 minutes in preheated oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
While casserole is baking, combine the melted butter and Ritz crackers in a small bowl.
After baking for 20 minutes remove casserole from the oven and increase heat to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
Sprinkle buttery cracker topping over the casserole, and place casserole back in the oven. Bake at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 8-10 minutes, until the top is golden brown. Remove and let it rest for 5 minutes prior to serving.
