How to Make Beef Curry
Start by trimming any excess fat from the chuck roast and cut it into bite-sized cubes.
Generously season the cubed beef with black pepper, garlic salt, and 1 tablespoon of curry powder.
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.
Carefully add the seasoned beef cubes to the skillet and sear for about 2 minutes, then turn and cook for another minute.
In the same skillet, add minced ginger, minced garlic, and chopped onions. Sauté for 2-3 minutes.
Pour in the dry white wine, canned tomatoes, remaining garlic salt, bay leaves, and second tablespoon of curry powder.
Return the browned beef to the skillet, add enough water to achieve desired sauce consistency, and bring to a boil.
Once boiling, reduce heat, cover, and let it simmer for 20-25 minutes.
