Pat shrimp dry with paper towels, season with salt, pepper, and a pinch of paprika.
In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat and sauté shrimp until pink and opaque, about 2–3 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
Boil fettuccine in salted water until al dente; reserve ½ cup pasta water before draining.
In the same skillet, add more butter and minced garlic; cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
Pour in heavy cream and simmer gently for 3–5 minutes.
Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted into a silky sauce.
Add shrimp and cooked pasta; toss to coat, using reserved pasta water to adjust consistency if needed.
