The Best Homemade BBQ Sauce Recipe From Scratch

Ingredients
Instructions
In a blender, combine the tomatoes, brown sugar and honey. Then, blend until smooth.
Add the blender mixture to a medium saucepan, over medium heat. Add the apple cider vinegar, pineapple juice, Worcestershire sauce and yellow mustard. Stir well to combine.
Then add the spices and bring everything to a simmer. Once at a simmer, reduce the heat to medium low and gently cook the sauce for 30-45 minutes. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking and ensure even cooking.
Taste the sauce as it reduces and thickens. Adjust the seasoning as desired.
Once the sauce has thickened and the flavors are balanced, remove it from the heat and let it cool to room temperature.
Then transfer the sauce into an airtight container such as a mason jar or plastic bottle, with a tight sealing lid. The sauce is now ready to use.
Store the sauce in the refrigerator where it will keep for up to 2 weeks, or freeze for up to 3 months.
