These Harissa‑spiced chicken thighs are juicy, smoky, and full of North African flavor. Quick to prepare and baked or pan‑seared until golden, they’re perfect over couscous, rice, or with roasted veggies for a bold, comforting meal.

In a bowl, combine olive oil, harissa powder, smoked paprika, cumin, cayenne (if using), lemon juice, salt and pepper to form a thick paste.
Rub the spice mix evenly over the chicken thighs. If time allows, let marinate for 15 min to 2 hours for deeper flavor.
Heat a skillet over medium‑high heat (or preheat oven to 400 °F / 200 °C if roasting). Sear chicken thighs 4–5 min per side until nicely browned and internal temperature reaches 165 °F (74 °C). If using oven, roast 20–25 min until cooked through and skin/crust is golden.
Remove chicken from heat and let rest 5 minutes before slicing. Serve with lemon wedges, and pair with couscous, rice, roasted vegetables, or a salad.
