Ingredients
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 450°F. Combine all the dry ingredients in a bowl.
Cut the butter into small cubes and combine with flour with your hands or a pastry blender until the mixture is coarse and crumbly. Work quickly to prevent the butter from melting.
Add the buttermilk and mix until just combined. The mixture should be wet.
Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured board. Using your hands, press the dough down to 1 inch thick.
Use a biscuit cutter to cut into rounds. Use flour to prevent the dough from sticking to your hands and the work surface and most importantly, do not overwork the dough.
Place evenly spaced on a baking sheet and bake for about 10-12 minutes or until golden-brown on top.
