Peel and cut the fresh mango into cubes. Add it to the blender or mixie.
Add cold dahi or yogurt to the blender or mixie jar.
To enhance the flavor, add spices like cardamom powder (elaichi) and/or saffron (kesar).
Add chilled whole milk to thin down the lassi. You can use water, skim milk or 2% milk also.
Add sugar. Adjust the amount of sugar depending on the sweetness of the mangoes.
Blend all the ingredients together. Blend till the mixture is smooth and creamy. At this stage, taste the lassi and adjust the sweetness.
Pour the mango smoothie or lassi straight into the serving glass. Serve cold and fresh for best results. Garnish with pistachios or saffron.
