Make this simple cranberry sauce with fresh cranberries and orange! Tastes infinitely better than canned versions.

Ingredients
Instructions
Rinse the cranberries thoroughly in cold water and remove any stems or shriveled berries. Zest the entire orange before juicing it.
In a medium saucepan, combine the orange juice, water, and sugar. Bring to a gentle boil over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves.
Add the cranberries to the saucepan and return to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer until cranberries pop, about 7-10 minutes.
Once most berries have burst, stir in the orange zest, cinnamon (if using), and salt. If using orange liqueur, add it now. Cook 2-3 more minutes until slightly thickened.
Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature. Transfer to an airtight container and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.
