Chicken Parmesan: the best-ever recipe for the beloved Italian-American dish
Chicken parmesan is a tasty Italian-American recipe everyone loves. Tender, moist chicken breasts is coated in crispy breadcrumbs, topped with marinara sauce and mozzarella and baked until golden brown.

Preheat your oven to 425°F. Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
If you want to make marinara sauce on your own, start by this step.
Cut the chicken breasts in half horizontally.
Place the flour in one bowl. In a second bowl, add the eggs and whisk them.
In a third bowl, combine breadcrumbs, 1/2 cup parmesan, panko, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
Dredge the chicken through the flour.
Dip the chicken in the egg, then dredge through the breadcrumb mixture.
Gently but firmly press the chicken into the breadcrumbs so they stick.
Heat the oil in a large pan over medium-high heat and place the chicken there.
Cook the chicken for 3 to 4 minutes per side or until golden brown. The chicken is done cooking when it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
Put the chicken on the baking tray.
Spread 1/3 cup of marinara sauce on each piece of chicken.
Garnish with mozzarella.
Sprinkle the remaining parmesan cheese.
Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown, then remove the tray from the oven.
Garnish with basil.
