This easy homemade toffee recipe creates a rich, buttery candy with a perfectly crisp texture and smooth chocolate topping. Made with simple ingredients, this toffee is ideal for holidays, gifting, or everyday sweet cravings.

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat and set aside.
In a heavy-bottomed saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
Add sugar and salt, stirring constantly until the mixture is smooth and begins to bubble.
Continue cooking while stirring until the mixture turns a deep golden brown and reaches the hard crack stage (about 300°F).
Immediately pour the toffee onto the prepared baking sheet and spread evenly.
Sprinkle chocolate chips over the hot toffee and let them soften for 1–2 minutes.
Spread the melted chocolate evenly across the surface.
Top with chopped almonds and gently press them into the chocolate.
Allow the toffee to cool completely at room temperature.
Break into pieces and store in an airtight container.
