Preparation
Marinate the beef: In a bowl, combine the beef sirloin with soy sauce and cornstarch. Mix well and let it marinate for 15 minutes.
Heat the skillet: While the beef is marinating, heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Cooking
Cook the beef: Once the skillet is ready, add the marinated beef and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until browned. Remove from skillet and set aside.
Sauté the vegetables: In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add sliced bell pepper, onion, and garlic. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until veggies are tender but crisp.
Combine and cook: Return the beef to the skillet. Pour in beef broth, oyster sauce, and sugar. Stir and cook for 2-3 minutes until sauce thickens.
Season: Add salt and pepper to taste.
Garnish: Sprinkle with green onions and sesame seeds just before serving.
