Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
In a large bowl, combine sliced peaches, granulated sugar, and lemon juice. Toss to coat and pour into the prepared baking dish.
In another bowl, whisk together flour, brown sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. Stir in melted butter and milk until just combined.
Spoon the batter evenly over the peaches. Do not stir.
Bake for 40 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the peaches are bubbling.
Allow to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm, optionally with vanilla ice cream.
