Ingredients
Instructions
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the chopped onion and cook for about 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the onion is soft and translucent.
Add the minced garlic to the skillet and cook for an additional 1 minute, stirring constantly to avoid burning the garlic.
Add the ground turkey to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula or spoon. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the turkey is browned and fully cooked through.
Once the turkey is cooked, add the oregano, basil, paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper. Stir well to combine all the spices into the meat.
If you're using soy sauce or tamari, add it now to give the dish a savory depth. Stir to combine.
Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary, adding more salt, pepper, or spices as desired.
If you’re using fresh parsley or parmesan cheese, sprinkle them over the turkey at this point and stir to mix in.
Once everything is well-combined and the turkey is nicely seasoned, remove the skillet from the heat.
Serve immediately over rice, in tacos, in a salad, or as a filling for wraps or sandwiches.
