Instructions
Set Up the Phin Filter: Place your Phin filter on top of a heat-resistant glass or cup. Ensure the glass is stable since the brewing process can take several minutes. Pre-rinse the filter with hot water to warm it up and remove any residual metallic taste, enhancing the coffee’s flavor.
Prepare the Sweetened Base: While the coffee is brewing, add 2-3 tablespoons of sweetened condensed milk to a tall glass. Adjust the amount according to your taste. For a sweeter drink, add more; for a more robust coffee flavor, use less.
Mix the Coffee and Milk: Once the coffee has finished dripping, pour it directly into the glass containing the condensed milk. Use a long spoon to stir thoroughly until the coffee and milk are fully combined. The mixture should have a creamy, caramel-brown color.
Chill the Coffee: Fill the glass with ice cubes, ensuring the coffee is well-chilled. Using large ice cubes is ideal because they melt slower, preserving the drink’s flavor without diluting it too quickly.
