Boil the Dungeness crab in boiling water until cooked, about 8 minutes. Drain and let cool. Pick the crabmeat from the crab and set aside.
Preheat the oven to 350°F (176°C). In a bowl, mix the cream cheese, mayonnaise, Old Bay Seasoning, ground mustard, and cayenne pepper until well blended. Add the crabmeat and toss gently.
Spread the mixture in a baking dish and sprinkle with Cheddar cheese. Bake for 30 minutes or until hot and bubbly. Serve immediately with sliced French bread or crackers.
