These valentine chocolate covered strawberries are an easy, romantic dessert made with fresh strawberries and silky melted chocolate. Perfect for gifting, date night, or Valentine’s Day celebrations.

Wash the strawberries and dry them completely with paper towels. Let them sit at room temperature for 30 minutes to prevent condensation.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Place the semi-sweet chocolate (8 oz / 225 g) in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 20–30 second intervals, stirring between each, until fully melted and smooth. Stir in coconut oil (1 tsp / 5 ml) if using.
Hold each strawberry by the stem and dip into the melted chocolate, coating about ¾ of the berry. Allow excess chocolate to drip off.
Place dipped strawberries on the prepared baking sheet.
If using white chocolate (4 oz / 115 g), melt it the same way and drizzle over the strawberries.
Add sprinkles immediately before the chocolate sets.
Refrigerate for 20–30 minutes until the chocolate is fully set.
Serve chilled or slightly cool for best texture.
