Add apple pie filling to a prepared 9x13 casserole dish.
Sprinkle cake mix in an even layer over the apple pie filling.
Slice butter into 12 equal pieces and arrange on top of the cake mix.
Sprinkle caramel bits over the top of the cake mix.
Bake at 350F for 50-60 minutes or until golden brown.
Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Serve warm.
