Scoop out baked sweet potato flesh and mash until smooth.
Stir in granulated sugar, eggs, melted butter, evaporated milk, vanilla extract, and salt until well combined.
Spread sweet potato mixture evenly into the prepared dish. Top with the pecan mixture.
