In a medium saucepan, heat sesame oil over medium heat. Add garlic and ginger and sauté for about 60 seconds until fragrant. Stir in miso paste and chili paste, then pour in chicken broth and soy sauce. Bring to a simmer and cook for 10 minutes.
In a separate pot, bring water to a boil. Add ramen noodles and cook according to package instructions (usually 3–4 minutes). Drain well.
