Instructions
Preheat the Filter and Glass Pour a small amount of boiling water through the phin to warm the filter and your serving glass. This helps maintain the coffee’s optimal brewing temperature.
Add Ground Coffee Measure about 1.5 tablespoons of coffee (approximately 4 teaspoons) into the phin.
Lightly Compress the Grounds Attach the press disk gently. Avoid over-tightening, as this can block water flow.
Bloom the Coffee Pour a tiny amount of boiling water to wet the grounds. Allow them to bloom for 30 seconds, enhancing flavor extraction.
Brew Slowly fill the phin with hot water to the top. The ideal drip rate is 3–4 drops per second, taking around 4–5 minutes.
Mix with Sweetened Condensed Milk Once the coffee has fully dripped, stir it with 2 tablespoons of sweetened condensed milk until fully blended.
Serve Over Ice Fill a tall glass with ice cubes and pour your perfectly brewed mixture over. Stir and enjoy.
Pull Strong Espresso Shots If you’re short on time, brew one to two espresso shots.
Mix with Sweetened Condensed Milk Blend to taste for your desired sweetness.
Serve Over Ice Pour into an ice-filled glass for an instant Iced Coffee Vietnam experience.
